IRB 1400 M98 Arcitec + IRBP250k

  • Hallo,

    Ich habe problem:

I know that this is a German speking forum but I'am a litle bit desperate to solve the problem.

I have problems to boot up the robot cell.
It is a ABB IRB 1400 S4C M98 with Arcitec, arcware, advanced functions, bulls eye, torch cleaner, A314 wire feed unit and a IRBP 250K positioner.

When I boot up the system it adds ROT10-12 and also ROT18,ROT19. Then I get the error that I have the wrong rectifier/drive unit. (one of the errors i get: checksum error between robot computer and rectifier , error 39325 i think)

The positioner have only 3 extra axes. so I'm a litle bit confused about the ROT18 and ROT19.
When I boot up I can not choose how many axes only K or L model.

I have just recived the software from ABB.
    key string v3.2
    system pack v3.2
    option disc: arcwelding system disc.

Is there any one that can help me?

    best regards

    /C

  • Hi conrob,
the first thing is you can use also the international forum at the side: http://www.robot-forum.com

I had this problem befor with a ABB Robot at Landshut. The ABB people have use a externaly axsis without the software function "Externaly Axsis". When you have this situation then you need a specially proceeding. You must reboot with the 'Query' -Mode!
You must have a specially cfg file of this axsis. When you have reboot this robot you must load this cfg file with 3 load/replace. The problem when you made a restore with a old Backup the controller will be crash. Is the bad configuration.

Let me know when you have any problems again!

  • Hallo,

I hink i have all the discs that i need. I've just got them from ABB. I've got a option disc (Arcwelding system discett) where the information of the extra axes are. Maby the disc is wrong?

  • Hi,
I'think the problem is not the option disk for Arcwelding! When you have no Option "Externally Axsis" but you have one externally axsis then you must have a specially cfg-File.

  • Hallo,

I have the option ext axis:

    516 BaseWare OS Plus
    575 611 English
    Ext Axes DC2T
    1400
    530 Advanced Functions
    551 ArcWare
    556 Arcitec

+ option disc " arcwelding system discett" (where the config for extra axes are)

When I boot and do not choose "any other options to install - YES/NO
I do not get the axes 10-12 (and 18-19).
If I choose yes then I get axes 10-12 and the 18 and 19.
I'm a litle bit confused because I do not have the axes 18 and 19.

    regards

  • Hello,

    haha.....
I've been talking to ABB sweden on telefon for one week now. and they don't have a clue on what the problem could be. The also admit that since "laxå" closed down they do not have the skilled personel anymore (regarding welding equip.).

I have called another company that will help me soon.

    Thanks

  • Hallo.

ABB gave me the wrong key and also wrong option disc for the positioner........

In the key it was the DC2T instead of the correct DC2.....
In the option it should be "single" extra axes instead of simultaneous......

It is alive and moving....... :beerchug:

    Ciao

  • Hi conrob,
