I am wanting to use Linux instead of Windows on my laptop to program robots. I have asked Fanuc about Roboguide for Linux -- keine chance for now. The people that write RoboGuide tell me they get very few requests for Linux and some for Mac OS. They are moving to Vista. UltraEdit32 will have a port to Linux sometime soon this year. They are looking for beta testers. I don't know about any other software that we could use on Linux, that is why I am posting. Does anyone else know of Linux software that can be used for robotic programming? Or a of CAD package for Linux? Does anyone use VariCad/ProE on Linux? Gruss Jim
