Hello all,
Is there a way the set FTP access to the robot up in such a way as to allow editing of files other than KRC/R1/CELL() and the programs that are in the KRC/R1/Program folders?
That is to be able to edit files like KRC/R1/SYSTEM/SPS.SUB or $CONFIG.DAT via FTP.
Is this possible and/or recommended?
Thanks in anticipation danke

Hi,

You can set up a virtual private network with windows and make the whole KRC folder visible in the network. Then you can edit everything via the network, but you have to be very carefully, because the KUKA-System will not recognize, that those files have changed. You have to open them with the kuka-editor, hit space to give the system the feeling the file would have been changed and close it again.
But at least its possible...

Kai
PS: It is also possible to use NetMeeting, but I never tried that...

If you got the time it would be nice, if you could post some of the nessessary steps, I personaly always need a lot of time to set up a network connection properly, because I dont like that and keep on forgetting how I did...
I think some more people might find that helpful.
 merci

Hallo,
I tried installing a VPN connection on this robot, (KRC2/WinXPE) and the option to setup a VPN in the control panel is greyed out and disabled.
Did manage to install RealVNC as server on the robot and get it to work though a normal ethernet connection. It was REALLY slow and more or less useless.
But my real problem was the simple fact that the folders KRC:/Mada, KRC:/System, and KRC:/TP were set as hidden and readonly in the folder attributes. wallbash
All I had to do was take Windows Explorer and set clear the hidden and readonly attributes and that solved the problem. ylsuper
Now I can edit whatever I need to.

The next time that I set up a network on a new robot I will write the steps and post it here.
Don't want to break my current setup right now.....the customer will be here soon zwink
thanks again to all for a great website, it is quite lonely here in Canada if you have a Kuka,
but we are working to change that. supi
